    In Russia, we use a digital zip code. We call it a post index, though. The format of the address is different from the US or Canadian one. We write a zip code and a city name first, then a street name, and finally the number of a building and apartment.

  • Hi everyone;
    in Turkey, the postal code has 7 digit numbers.All provinces in Turkey has also 7 digit postal code.The postal codes are related to pronince license plate code.For example , İstanbul is a province in Turkey and it has a district called Pendik.The license plate code for İstanbul is 34. Pendik postal code is 34893.

  • We call it "PIN Code" in India. Sikar pin code is 332001. It's only numerical, not mixed with letters.

  • Yes. It is very important to use the zip code here in Brazil. It helps the mail man a lot. My zip code is 60421-320.

  • Here it's called postcode. I don't sure, but i think this name "zip" is only used in the uncle Sam land.

  • In Poland, we use postal codes in the dd-ddd format ( d-digit). We put this before the name of the town .We write first name then last name then street addres then postal code and the name of the town.

  • In our country I.e. India we use Postal Code of six digits for example BANGALORE – 560001, MYSORE 570023. Every state has a Pin code. First three digits pertain to the District and remaining three digits are for Area. We don't say Zip Code.
    We write sender's name and address below the left corner of the envelope.
